Gordon Smith
Gordon Smith had a thirty-five year career in Public Health and Safety at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he had been active in the Asian Leadership and Outreach Committee which helped bring an awareness of the contributions and concerns of Asian employees to the Laboratories’ population. After retiring and moving to San Jose Japantown in 2014, Gordon became active with the Japanese American Museum of San Jose, with an emphasis on being part of a group of volunteer docents who bring to life the Japanese American experience, especially during the internment, for the museum’s many visitors.
