Brenda Hee Wong has been around the idea and joy of volunteering and service since she was a little girl. So, it is not a surprise that she would continue this into adulthood because she saw that giving and sharing of one’s time, treasures and talents will provide much joy, learning and sense of pride. Volunteerism is a way of honoring her parents,her Chinese culture and heritage, and her Faith. Brenda, a retired special education teacher, has been a volunteer for Berryessa Chinese School in San Jose as a campus manager and liaison for 22 years, for St. Elizabeth Church in Milpitas as a Catechism/religious education teacher and coordinator of the altar server ministry for 38 years and for the Chinese Historical and Cultural Project (CHCP) in San Jose for 14 years as Director, Treasurer, Vice-President and President.
